MODERN PEDAGOGICAL APPROACHES IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

This article analyzes the theoretical foundations and practical possibilities of modern pedagogical approaches used in teaching foreign languages in general education schools. In particular, the role of communicative, competence-based, and constructivist approaches in developing students’ language competence and the effectiveness of using information and communication technologies (ICT) were studied. The research results showed that modern pedagogical approaches serve to develop students’ oral and written speech skills, form independent and critical thinking, stimulate creative activity, and increase learning motivation. It was also established that the use of ICT tools allows for the organization of the educational process in an interactive, flexible, and student-centered manner. Furthermore, the article develops scientific and practical recommendations for improving lesson quality and learning outcomes through the effective use of a blended learning model and digital educational resources. The scientific and practical significance of the research lies in the fact that it highlights ways to effectively implement modern methods and technologies into educational practice for English teachers, and presents conclusions that serve to improve foreign language teaching methodology and increase the efficiency of the educational process.
