This article examines the rules for understanding apparently contradictory hadiths and deriving a shariah ruling from them. This practice has been perfectly developed by the usulul fiqh scholars, through which a solution has been found to the seemingly contradictory content between the texts of the Qur’an and the Sunnah. The emphasis is on the fact that since the shariah texts come from a single source, namely Allah Almighty, there is no contradiction in them, and that seemingly contradictory meanings require a logical analysis, understanding of their purpose, and studying the history of narrations. This topic also examines the issue of collecting and analyzing all the evidence related to a particular topic in one place.
