The article discusses how the IX-XII centuries were recognized as the era of the Muslim Renaissance. It is revealed that during this period, science and culture, especially Islamic sciences, developed in Central Asia, ancient cities such as Bukhara, Samarkand, Nasaf (Karshi), Termez, Khiva, Merv, Shash (Tashkent) became famous as the centers of science and culture in the Islamic world. In particular, it is noted that Tashkent, referred to as Shash in medieval sources, was a region from which many prominent scholars in Islamic sciences, such as hadith and fiqh emerged. Also, the activities of Shash muhaddiths who lived in the Middle Ages (IX-XII) in the scientific centers of the region and in Merv are analyzed. In addition, the issues of scientific cooperation between scholars who worked in the madrasahs of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Nasaf, Termez, as well as in various cities of the region, such as Merv, Qazvin, in accordance with the traditions of the Middle Ages in the development of hadith science in the Shash oasis are studied. In the process of illuminating the research and developing its methodological basis and concept, modern methods of historical research were taken as a basis. In particular, the research was conducted in accordance with the principles of historicity, gradualism, authenticity, impartiality, and scientificity. In the process of introducing various sources, information, and archival documents into circulation for the first time, they were summarized based on both comparative and critical analysis.
