ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
The article moves the phenomenon of recidivist crime beyond the conventional legal and statistical category and interprets it as an independent subject of socio-philosophical analysis. Recidivism is substantiated not merely as an individual moral defect or a repeated act of law-breaking, but as a product of complex mediating relations among the normative order of society, the institution of punishment, mechanisms of social control, the labour market and personal identity. The study discloses the ontological status of the phenomenon, the mechanism of its social reproduction, and its dimensions related to stigmatisation, alienation, the erosion of social capital and the fragmentation of normative trust. A multilayered methodological programme is proposed, grounding the complementary unity of dialectical, systemic-structural, hermeneutic, axiological, phenomenological and comparative-philosophical approaches.
